2006 is here

The New Year is here. Over the break, the website had a major crash. It took a few days to get it all sorted out and I'm still having problems with my Recent Comments section. Movable Type support is very slow. Fortunately, I was able to figure out most of the problem without their help. Without getting too technical all the file permissions were coming up invalid all of the sudden. I'm not sure what prompted this change, but I have made the necessary adjustments.

January 2006 marks my one-year anniversary at my job. It has been a very rewarding experience and there is a great deal that I am looking forward to learning this year. One thing I hope to learn over the course of the year is PhotoShop CS2. Learning that software would allow me to do a lot of different things at work and on the web. Also, finding a permanent residence is going to be an immediate priority since our apartment is turning into a inium. Later this month I'll be turning 27. Yep, I'm old.

Update: It turns out the database was corrupted so I had to spend 3 hours tonight reinstalling the entire blog. It was a very annoying process. Things should be back to normal now.
