romney saw his father, but didn't see him

Mitt Romney claims he "saw" his father march with Martin Luther King. There's only one problem, it didn't happen. Romney is clearly establishing himself as the candidate that will say anything to get elected. The Campaign Spot speculates that Matt Drudge of the Drudge Report might be aiding the Romney campaign. I have noticed that Drudge is only linking to negative stories of Romney's competitors. There's nothing at the Drudge Report about Romney's "saw" moment, and last week there was no mention of Thompson "show of hands" moment at the debate. Drudge's silence is very telling.

"If you look at the literature, if you look at the dictionary, the term 'saw' includes being aware of in the sense I've described. It's a figure of speech and very familiar, and it's very common. And I saw my dad march with Martin Luther King. I did not see it with my own eyes, but I saw him in the sense of being aware of his participation in that great effort."

Update: Now witnesses are coming forward saying they "saw" George Romney. I wonder if Mitt will change his definition again? This is coming from Politico, so take it with a grain of salt.
