about nemov.net
nemov.net is the host of the daily musings of Nemov and Club Soda. The main interests of this site are politics of course, but we also write about music, books, current events, Tom Harkin, kickball and sports.
Nemov does not watch much news on TV and finds most talking heads repulsive. Nemov is cynical, but at the same time remains optimistic (a true dichotomy). He was homeshooled until college and surprisingly enough he didn't turn into a social outcast. The creator of nemov.net graduated from UNC Charlotte with Bachelors degree in Economics. The self-proclaimed "information sponge" is full of little facts and figures most people find boring and absurd. He's from the tiny little town of Statesville, North Carolina.
Club Soda is a penny lover and a recovering liberal. His most unique talent is connecting every topic to communism. As part of his penance for once being a liberal, Club Soda has vowed to read every book by David Horowitz. Unable to escape his past, Club Soda is haunted by the fact he's from Houston, Texas.
Nemov resides in the perpetual sun of beautiful Sarasota, Florida. Club Soda makes his home in the magnificent city of Denver, Colorado.
This is my long-run forecast in brief:The material conditions of life will continue to get better for most people, in most countries, most of the time, indefinitely. Within a century or two, all nations and most of humanity will be at or above today's Western living standards.
I also speculate, however, that many people will continue to think and say that the conditions of life are getting worse.

Idealism is fine, but as it approaches reality, the costs become prohibitive. - William F. Buckley, Jr.
